Transforming Healthcare Education through XR and AI
XR and AI-based virtual simulations for Nursing Education
The ‘Aurora Innovates: Transforming Healthcare Education through XR and AI’ project develops XR and AI-based virtual simulations for nursing education, allowing students to practice clinical procedures in a realistic, safe environment. The main project partner from the EU is the University of Oulu, and from Norway, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, with Lapland University of Applied Sciences participating as a project partner.
The FrostBit team from Lapland UAS will create virtual clinical environments, AI-generated human avatars, and interactive learning tools in the project. Our role also includes implementing adaptive learning techniques, real-time feedback, and usability testing to improve nursing education and workforce readiness.
