The transnational project RemoTED develops and pilots digital solutions for social and healthcare services in sparsely populated areas in Finland, Ireland, and Iceland. The goal is to enhance service accessibility and quality by improving professionals’ digital competence. In collaboration with local associate partners, the project offers ongoing training to strengthen skills and confidence in using technology.
FrostBit contributes to the RemoTED project by managing communication and supporting technical implementation. Responsibilities include creating the project’s visual identity, communication materials, and maintaining visibility through the website and social media. FrostBit also supports the planning and implementation of digital solutions that strengthen professionals’ digital skills. Key outputs include the project website, visual materials, and a final toolkit with practical tech solutions for future use.

The RemoTED project’s core deliverable is the Toolkit – a practical guide aimed at strengthening the digital and technological skills of social and healthcare professionals working in remote regions. It outlines the process used to define the required competencies, presents the available training options, details the skills they support, and explains how to access them.
